Burnaby Hurricanes Water Polo 2023 Sep – Dec
The Burnaby Hurricanes Water Polo Club has been a part of the community for 45 years. Established in 1977, it has had a proud tradition of helping develop some of the finest water polo players in the country. A number of our players who started with Burnaby have gone onto the Canadian National Teams, Scholarships and one has even gone to the Olympics in Beijing. In addition to athletic excellence, the Burnaby Water Polo Club promotes healthy living and long-lasting friendships. The water polo season starts in September and runs until April with one practice and one game per week. Our club runs a Fall and Winter session and we will be accepting new players throughout the season. There will be a mid season tournament in early December and a League Championship Tournament in the middle of April. All players are asked to make themselves available for the tournaments. Fall season will be running from September to December. Days, Times and Locations of the activities will be advised after pool booking process. The plan is to have 2 practices for Development with total of 2 hours of pool time per week, and 11U, 13U, 15U, 18U to have 2-4 practices per week with 4-6 hours of pool time. Information about games, tournaments, and scrimmages will be provided as soon as available. All our programs were very well attended, including first time offered Open Category program, so we decided to have Open Category for Fall and Winter seasons. |
